Associate Degree Information
The Bucks County Community College, Fire and Emergency Services Degree Programs prepare practicing and future emergency service professionals through a balance of technical skills, critical and ethical thinking, leadership, and effective communication. The department's programs address multiple emergency service educational needs, from professional certifications to degrees. The program allows students to use industry professional certifications (IFSAC, ProBoard, and/or NFA Certification) towards your degree. Other industry certifications like National Registry EMS Certificates can also be awarded credits for students pursuing their degree at Bucks County Community College.
The degree program and individual courses are designed to meet or exceed Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards. Bucks County Community College, a Middle States Commission on Higher Education accredited school, believes in Stackable Credentials in Emergency Services. Students can start their degree by using their Certification(s) or achieve them through Bucks County Community College as an accredited National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (ProBoard) Agency. Our Fire Academic Programs are Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) Recognized by the National Fire Academy.
