CREX Examination

Prior Learning Credit is marked CL or LE on the Bucks County Community College transcript. This credit is not automatically accepted by transfer schools, and anyone planning to transfer should look into this matter with the transfer schools(s) concerned, before starting the Prior Learning Assessment process.

The CREX examinations are Bucks County Community College challenge examinations arranged directly through the Department that teaches the course you intend to challenge.

2. Contact each department directly for information on setting up examination dates and about how best to prepare for the examination. http://www.bucks.edu/academic/
   
   
3. If a student has previously taken or is currently enrolled in the course for which s/he wants to take the CREX examination the student must ask permission of the department AAD.
   
   
4. It is recommended to prepare and review for any examination. For the CREX examinations, candidates should obtain a copy of a text book in current use by classes taking the course. Each individual department will give the most current and specific advice. Please call the administrative assistant to the department's Assistant Academic Dean.
