Bucks County Community College is proud to offer the first complete online Certificate Program in Historic Preservation at the Community College level. Students near and far can now access the award-winning program from their desktop, joining a network of professional preservationists, attorneys, planners, architects and commissioners, who share a passion and commitment to historic preservation.
Bucks pioneered a traditional classroom-based Certificate Program in Historic Preservation in 1991. Over the years, hundreds of students have acquired the knowledge and expertise through course work and hands-on projects, going on to work in both the private and public sectors. In response to the many requests from prospective students seeking campus-free instruction, the program is now available online. Our online campus program enables individuals far from the Delaware Valley to take courses and receive bona fide academic credits. Our online campus allows students to easily fit this kind of instruction into an increasingly busy work schedule. Anyone with an interest in pursuing a career in preservation or who simply wants to know more about the field will find this online offering both challenging and rewarding. The Bucks Certificate Program in Historic Preservation provides a solid foundation, helping students to understand the basic building blocks of preservation theory and practice.
