Bucks County Community College offers a 130-hour, Pennsylvania Department of Education approved Nurse Aide Training Program designed to prepare students for employment in long-term care facilities. The program, taught by experienced nurses, combines both classroom and clinical work. It prepares students to take the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) examination. Students who pass the NNAAP exam are then enrolled on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry, and are eligible for employment in long-term care facilities, hospitals and home care.
Courses are offered at the main campus in Newtown, Upper Bucks Campus in Perkasie and the Lower Bucks Campus in Bristol. The clinical experience will take place at a long-term care facility located throughout Bucks County.
