This course is designed for students wishing to master the fundamentals of desktop publishing using Microsoft Publisher.

    1. prepare professional-looking publications for home or business, including flyers, newsletters, brochures, business cards, calendars, invitations, and signs.
  2. Planned Sequence of Topics and/or Learning Activities

    1. navigate the Microsoft Publisher window
    2. interact with the office assistant
    3. prepare a message for publication
    4. prepare publication style and layouts
    5. save a publication
    6. print a publication
    7. use Quick Publication Wizard
    8. create and edit text frames
    9. use Spell Check and AutoCorrect
    10. create bulleted and numbered lists
    11. use personal information frames
  3. Assessment Methods for Course Learning Goals

    The assessment of course learning goals is based on performance-based assignments and tests and a final applications project.
