VI. Catalog Course Description
This course is designed to develop skills necessary to plan and organize traditional and technological conferences, meetings, conventions, trade shows and expositions. The student will learn to systemize and assemble reservations for lodging, air and ground transportation, food and beverages, site selection, room design, and conference and meeting materials.

  1. Course Learning Goals

    Students will:

    1. acquire skills to plan and organize traditional and technological meetings;
    2. develop skills to selecting appropriate sites for a client's meeting or conference;
    3. understand the collateral materials necessary for a successful meeting;
    4. acquire competency to manage the reservations and registration of meeting and conferences; and
    5. achieve a competency in using the technological tools necessary for successful meetings and conferences.
