A history of the County from colonial times to the present.

  1. Course Learning Goals

    1. To introduce the history of Bucks County (one of Pennsylvania's oldest);
    2. To survey over three centuries of the experience of the County's people, from wilderness to suburbia;
    3. To recognize the uniqueness of Bucks County, and how it fits into the broad picture of American History; and
    4. To emphasize the importance of local history to historical understanding.
