- V. Other Pertinent Information
- Film equipment is available to students currently enrolled in film production courses for use in their class projects. Students may check out equipment on an individual basis after they have been instructed in its proper use. Checkout procedures will be explained in class. These procedures are designed to insure that each piece of equipment which leaves the film lab is identified by name and number and is signed out to the borrowing student. When the equipment is returned, it must be signed in. Students are responsible for equipment which they borrow and may be held liable for equipment damage due to improper use of neglect. Student use of, and accountability for, College owned equipment is governed by the College through its Regulations for Student Borrowing of College Equipment, effective 6/1/78, and Bucks County Community College Equipment Loan Form. A copy of these regulations and procedures are posted in the Film Lab. Additional copies are available upon request. Although the College provides many of the materials and supplies needed for completion of the course requirements, additional supplies may have to be purchased by the student.

Course Learning Goals
- Film Production II: Students will have become somewhat at ease with the mechanics of film- making and will be able to concentrate on building skills and techniques. They will be able to display enough understanding of film and sound to seek apprenticeship in film and television studios.
- Film Production III, IV: Students' skills and techniques will have developed to a degree where they begin to take on meaning and reveal some sense of personal style. They now will have demonstrable evidence of their potential. The several films which they will have completed will indicate a pattern of growth from which a discerning prospective employer will be able to gauge future development as well as present achievement. The film workshop program is designed to prepare students for entry into the film industry. The film lab is equipped, and the instruction structured, to conform to methods and practices currently in use. The instructional goals, however, are aimed toward self-discovery and self-realization. Craftsmanship is stressed not as an end in itself but as a means of expression, and concern is given to the development of the convictions, the ethics and the substance of that expression.

- Production of motion picture with sync sound.
- Supervision and one-on-one instruction to cover specifics of film and sound production.
