This course is offered only in the TOTAL Lab.
VI. Catalog Course Description
This course is designed for students wishing to develop touch keyboarding skills. Keyboard mastery will be developed with emphasis on accuracy and speed. Completion speed - 25 words per minute.
VII. Required Course Content and Direction
  1. Learning Goals:

    1. Course
    2. Students will
      1. type on a keyboard at a minimum of 25 wpm on two-minute straight copy timed writings with no more than one error per minute;
      2. use correct touch typing keyboarding techniques on the alpha, numeric, and symbol keys; and
      3. demonstrate the ability to proofread keyboarded copy, identify and correct errors, check grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
