  6. Catalog Course Description

    This course is designed to introduce the student to standard drawing procedures employed in drafting official HABS drawings. Recommended for students with little or no drafting experience.
  7. Required Course Content and Direction

    1. Learning Goals:

      1. To introduce the students to HABS drawings and their documentation
      2. To acquaint students with basic drawing materials and techniques
      3. To utilize basic drafting skills in the process of drawing HABS work
      4. To complete drafting exercises
    2. Planned Sequence of Topics and/or Learning Activities:

      1. Introduction to HABS drawings
      2. Basic drawing and drafting skills Translating measurements to the drafting board
      3. Sketch draft - elevations, cross-sections, matching drawings, drawing enhancement
      4. Finishing details - lettering, contour lines, inking, special effects, and notations
