This course provides practical applications of mindfulness, stress management, and healthy choices with the college setting. The student develops the ability to recognize college resources available to support a health lifestyle in their personal college experience. Students develop and practice coping skills, which lead to self-regulation.

Course Learning Goals
Students will:
- Demonstrate an understanding of personal awareness of triggers that cause stress, individuals tolerance for stress in various situations, and the coping mechanisms needed to manage stress and triggers throughout various environments;
- Demonstrate an understanding of health choices that are directly connected to stress management and overall healthy living, including how to manage diet, exercise, personal care and the resources available at Bucks to support them; and
- Demonstrate a continued understanding of ASD from a personal, neuro-a-typical perspective and how it can be connected to mindfulness in healthy connections with others and the self.

- Learning about stress and personal triggers
- Learning about coping mechanisms to manage stress and personal triggers
- Understanding how to communicate about stress and triggers in the college environment
- Learn about healthy choices including diet, exercise, personal care, and overall health

- Learn about the resources available at Bucks that support stress management
- Understanding how to communicate about health needs in the college environment
- Learn about mindfulness and how to connect it to a healthy lifestyle, stress management, and the neuro-a-typical perspective
- Continuation of skill development to work collaboratively with faculty, staff and peers related to stress, overall health, and mindfulness
