2010 Evaluator Workshop (updated 11/10/2009)

Bucks County Community College announces the dates for the 2010 Evaluator Workshops.  Click here for letter.

Contact Joan Dunn at dunnj@bucks.edu to pre-register for the workshop of your choice.  All BCCC Evaluators must attend an annual workshop to maintain their employment status with the College.  Listed above are the Evaluator Workshops being offered for 2010, if you fail to attend you will not have completed your employment obligations and will not be able to evaluate for the college until you attend a session.  Any questions please contact your Field Director.

 

Duplicating Requests (updated 11/09/2009)

All instructors making a request for duplication must complete the form located on our website under Instructional Forms and submit to the Training Center.  Phone orders will not be accepted, all requests must have an FSC with section number and start date of class.

 

2010 Instructor Development (Annual Mandatory Requirement) (updated 11/03/2009)

Bucks County Community College announces the dates for the 2010 Instructor Developments.

Correction:  The Workshop scheduled at Hummel's Wharf for January 6, 2010 is changed to January 18, 2010 at 7:00PM.

IRS Mileage Rate Reminder (posted 8/18/2009)

Attention all Instructors: A reminder the current BCCC mileage rate (IRS rate) is $ 0.550.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

 

Administrative Reminder (posted 7/28/2009)

Attention all Instructors: Any class ending between January 1, 2009 and June 30, 2009 needs to have all paperwork into the Training Center by August 3, 2009.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

 

Administrative Process Reinforcement (posted 4/9/2009)

Attention all Instructors: Please inform your students that their certificates will be mailed to the address listed on their registration form.  Please request that they print clearly on the registration form so that their certificates can be promptly delivered to their residence.  Review with your students that their student identification number appears on the bottom left hand corner of their certificate below the course section number.  They will need to use their student number on their registration forms for all future classes.  Please ask your students to put their home phone number and work phone number on the registration forms.  If they do not have a work phone, please ask them to leave it blank.  If they do not have a home phone number but have a cell phone number, have them cross out home number, write “cell phone” above the word “home” and then have them write their cell phone number on the line provided.  Please check all registration forms prior to sending them to the Center for processing to ensure that each registration form has the student’s name, home address, birth date, phone number(s) and signature.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

 

Special Training Announcement (updated 03/24/2009)

Due to recent events that occurred facilitating and conducting live fire training sessions in acquired structures at a state and national level, effective immediately Bucks County Community College will no longer sponsor any live fire training sessions involving any acquired structure.  Bucks County Community College will continue to support live fire training sessions at fixed fire training facilities that have provided evidence of compliance with NFPA 1403, chapter 5, section 5.2.2.2 and chapter 6, section 6.2.2.2.

Furthermore, all training sessions utilizing an acquired structure will be required to provide Bucks County Community College with evidence of a completed and accurate Asbestos Abatement & Demolition/Renovation Notification Form (DEP Form #2700-FM-AQ0021), as well as, a notarized document ensuring the legal property owner's release of said property for training purposes, prior to approval of the training session.

 

Annual State Instructor Report (updated 01/23/2009)

Local Level Instructors are reminded that they still need to submit their Annual Instructor Report to the State Fire Academy by April 1, 2009. Instructors may download the 2009 Annual Report at the following Instructor Report Form ‘09 or you can go to the State Fire Academy Website. Once you have completed it, you should mail it to the attention of your Field Supervisor at State Fire Academy, 1150 Riverside Drive, Lewistown, PA 17044.  

 

Instructor Travel Voucher Update (posting 12/23/2008)

Starting January 1, 2009, the Instructor mileage reimbursement rate will be 0.55 cents/mile.  Attaching MapQuest travel directions for the route that you selected, will expedite our processing of your travel voucher.  Please include the exact address (street, city, state, zip code) for the destination point(s).

BCCC POLICY NOTIFICATION: All travel related reimbursements must be submitted to the College within 30 days of the date of the incurred expenses. Thank you for your cooperation with this process.

 

New PSFA Structural Burn Policy (posting 08/26/2008)

Attention Suppression Instructors, the PA State Fire Academy has released an updated copy to the Structural Burn Policy.  You can find a copy of the policy on our website under Instructional forms.

 

REMINDERS

Instructor Payroll can not be processed without completion and submission of all required course paperwork. 

STUDENT REGISTRATION FORMS MUST HAVE DOB, NAME (as the student would like their name to appear on their certificate) FULL ADDRESS, AND STUDENT SIGNATURE (on the bottom of the registration form).
