Payroll Practice & Management

(New series beginning in fall 2009)

Payroll is one of the fastest changing career fields in the business world today. Constant fluctuation in government rules and regulations make it difficult to keep up. The objective is to instruct the payroll professional in all facets of payroll from the basics of “What are wages?” to the intricate complexity of fringe benefits, taxation and garnishments. Depending on the current experience of the student, its objective is to teach the solid skills and knowledge of payroll rules and regulations to the beginner and to increase or refresh the skills of the more experienced student.

Each class is designed to take about 30 hours to complete. There are no prerequisites for any of the classes and you are not required to complete the series. You are encouraged to self-select the classes necessary to fulfill your personal learning objectives. Those completing the entire series will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.
