Let's Build Something

Get ready to build! Campers will use recycled materials and everyday items to build a variety of structures throughout the week. We will test our creativity as we become engineers and designers and explore what exciting things we can develop.

Supergym

Improve a variety of movement and loco motor skills through organized play and fun activities like Alligator Alley, Toy Story Tag, and Parachute. Many of these skills are the basis for team sports. This is not JUST a sports camp.  Campers will apply leadership and teamwork skills through cooperative games and be exposed to a variety of cultures through games from around the world. After-lunch craft activities include Build-Your-Own- Jump Rope, and Bowling Pin Buddies. Camp Challenges help to promote sportsmanship and a healthy attitude toward competition. Don’t forget to pack a small snack and a bathing suit and towel for a cool down at the end of the day.

Seuss on the Loose

Can’t get enough Cat in the Hat? How about Horton Hears a Who? Join us and dive into the wacky world of Dr. Seuss as we explore his writing with projects, games and fun! As we travel on new Dr. Seuss adventures each day, we will practice reading, writing, and math skills to enhance vocabulary, sequencing, rhyming, and letter and number recognition. Our Seussville camp is a great way to brush up on academic skills with the help from our friend, Dr. Seuss.

Squish Squash Dribble Dab

Fairy tale Discovery is an adventure of the imagination for our five and six year olds! We will be stepping inside to a classic and high interest fairy tale each day and approaching it from a cross curricular approach – literature, music, art, science, physical education and social studies for each fairy tale!

Incredible Edible Experiments!

Explore a variety of scientific principles using every day, ordinary materials. These “ordinary” experiments result in “extraordinary” discoveries. Enjoy learning about the scientific method and the “how’s,”, whys,” and “what-ifs” of experiments in kitchen chemistry and natural physics. Create your own “recipes” for soda, toothpaste and ice cream. Then explore the properties of soap, create slime and silly putty, and use science in your everyday life.

Disney Princes and Princesses

Join us on a journey through your favorite Disney fairytales to find your inner Prince/Princess. Would you like to make a crown for Snow White, join Aladdin on his magic carpet, or see if frogs really do turn into Princes? Then this is the place for you! Dress up in your favorite costumes as we read stories, watch video clips, act out short scenes, and design crafts based on our favorite Disney movies. At the end of our week, all Princes and Princesses will help to put together a tea party and luncheon for their families...it’s sure to be a royal treat!

Color Me Crazy

Welcome to the world of color! Pack your smock and creativity this week. We will make beautiful colorful projects using our imaginations and hands to create works of art. We will learn about the color wheel and how to use color to brighten our world. We will paint, color, build, sketch and dream our way into a colorful world of art.

Recipe for Science

Add 1 cup of bubble making, to 1/2 cup of racing magnets. Sprinkle in building volcanoes and marshmallow houses.  Add 2 teaspoons of invisible ink and whip in some air to make balloons and airplanes. Pour in 1 tablespoon color experimentation with icing. Taste lemon fizzies, different flavored cookies and homemade ice cream. Mix it all together and you get fun, learning, and a dash of excitement.

Treasure Island - Life as a Pirate

Join us in this fun-filled camp where you will explore the lives and legends of pirates through storybooks. Create your own pirate nickname and life story. Create your own treasure maps and treasure; then go on grand treasure hunts! Build a ship to sail upon the seas and live life as a pirate through the reading of stories, creative drama, creative writing, and art projects including the making of telescopes, parrot puppets, pirate costumes, and pirate flags.
