Lead & Succeed, A Business Leadership Experience

Presented by the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce & Business @ Bucks

Four-day leadership experience focusing on developing the skills high school sophomores and juniors need for personal and professional growth. This interactive experience focuses on team building, effective communication, business etiquette, leadership styles, and more! Workshops include team building, motivational speakers, entrepreneurs, one on one time with young Bucks County leaders in their industries and a field trip. Perfect for high school students interested in business, leadership development or entrepreneurship.

Intro to App Inventor 2

Ages 10-14+

MIT App Inventor is an innovative program that teaches students how to create smartphone apps. With the aid of a smart phone emulator software, students will create such things as a text to speech app; a finger drawing app; a smart phone game app & much more. This program encourages creative thinking & logical reasoning as well as provides an opportunity to work collaboratively.

Forensics and Crime Scene Investigation

Ages 10-14+

June 26-30; July 10-14; July 17-21

Students will learn how to search for, examine, and recover various types of evidence (i.e. fingerprints, blood, footprints, tire prints, etc.). The week will culminate with students processing a mock crime scene from start to finish just as real investigators would.

The focus of this camp will be on Art with a capital “A!”  Our young artists will experience a plethora of craft and art styles including Zen Tangle, Silk Screen, Origami, Painting and Collage. Students will also be naming and owning their pet rocks that they create!

Creative Hair & Nails

Ages 10-14+

July 17-21

 Learn fun, easy ways to create hairstyles on a mannequin. You will also learn how to take proper care of your nails and create fun and easy nail designs.

Whether you want to learn fun, creative things to do with your own hair and nails, or take a peek into the cosmetology profession, this will be a fun week filled with hands on activities.

Introduction to Scratch Programming

Ages 10-14+

Scratch is a 'creative learning community' where individuals use drag and drop, two-dimensional programming to create interactive games and stories.  Scratch enables students to think computationally while bringing out their creative spirit.  Students will develop a working knowledge of the Scratch program and how to develop digital stories and interactive games.  Scratch is the perfect introduction to computer programming for students in elementary and middle school.  .
