Clinical Research Coordinator Specialist

This course is designed for the nurse who will be working or is working as a Clinical Research Coordinator. It provides the framework for the requirements of running a clinical trial. The experienced nurse will find helpful strategies that will lead to success in the Coordinator role. Upon completion of the course, the individual will have the knowledge and tools to coordinate a well organized trial that is compliant with the standards of GCP.

Insulin Safety and Administration Certification

This course is designed to meet the mandatory training guidelines for insulin safety and administration. It is geared for Certified Medical Assistants, Medication Aides, and Home Health Workers who are administering insulin medications to the elderly, in Personal Care Homes, Long Term Care Facilities and Home Care. This program will include basic anatomy and physiology of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, how insulin is produced in the body, and how it is affected by food. Where Angels Fear to Tread

Social workers as well as other human services professionals and paraprofessionals often have the responsibility of making home visits to their clients. The purpose of these visits can range from information sharing/ assessment/ eligibility for services to mental health/substance abuse outreach/intervention to investigating abuse or neglect. Neighborhoods may be unfamiliar and sometimes dangerous. Information on the client or situation may be incomplete. Workers may be met with fear and suspicion.
