Transition to Adulthood Social Skills Seminar

This seminar focuses on the development of social skills and college survival skills for young adults with Asperger’s Syndrome or High Functioning Autism. Through interaction with their peers the students will role play social and school related situations. Topics will include conversational skills, understanding body language and college survival skills. Topics may vary depending on the needs/ interests of the participants. Peer coaches will provide an opportunity for students to use skills practiced in class in the community.

Animal Art: Wild Creatures in Pencil and Watercolor (ages 9-13)

Field Sketching in Tyler Park (ages 9-13)

Tyler Park offers a brilliant setting of creeks, meadows, forest, barns, bridges, and wildlife amidst the seasonal changes of autumn, where you can recreate the world around you by observing and sketching. Discover the work of famous artists, architects and environmental scientists, and see the beauty of how architecture and civil engineering coexist with the natural landscape, as you learn to create your own masterpieces. First class will meet on campus, subsequent classes will meet at outdoor locations, weather permitting. Must be able to walk in the park.
