Mastering Payroll II provides the practical knowledge needed to improve your skills and advance your career. The course comprises 12 sections and an optional "Final Examination." Upon completing this course, you should be able to:
Know how to handle different kinds of tax-free, tax-deferred or partially or fully taxable benefits, how to calculate the value of these benefits, impute them into wages, and collect and report taxes on the appropriate federal forms.
Understand the rules that apply to expenses, disability payments and sick pay, and how to calculate and collect taxes where appropriate, how to report taxes and use the appropriate forms, and how to understand the basics of workers’ compensation insurance.
Choose the best method for withholding federal income tax from wages and be able to make correct deductions for garnishments and levies.
