SAT Prep

This course will prepare students for all sections of the SAT: Reading, Writing & Language, Math (with and without a calculator), and Essay writing. Throughout the course, students will practice numerous actual SAT questions independently or in small groups, and always with the instructor’s guidance. Students will also learn and practice general test-taking tips and strategies. The textbook is included in the price of the course and will be distributed by the instructor.  Alison Schnaudt

PAPA / Core Test Reading & Writing Prep

This face-to-face course will prepare Education majors for the Reading & Writing sections of the PAPA or Core test.  Each of the four sessions will cover reading comprehension, English grammar and spelling, and essay writing & critiquing.  There is no book required for this course; all materials will be made available to students during class time (handouts) and also via Canvas for additional instruction, review, and practice of course content.  Alison M. PAPA / Core Test Math Prep

This face-to-face course will prepare Education majors for the math section of the PAPA or Core test. Throughout the four sessions, students will review the following:  understanding our number system, algebraic expressions and equations, functions, geometry and measurement, data and statistics, probability, and overall skills in problem solving, reasoning, and mathematical communication.  Over 100 test-type questions will be practiced to familiarize students with the types of questions typically given on standardized math tests.  There is no book required for this course; all course materials will be made available to students during class time (handouts) and via email. Pennsylvania Real Estate Pre-Licensing Exam Prep Course

This (six hour) Course will provide you with tips for preparing and taking the Pennsylvania Real Estate Licensing Exam. Students will learn exam strategies for taking both the Pennsylvania State and National exam. Students will practice taking sample exams (two State and two National), develop test-taking skills, and understand question wording and common exam mistakes, as well as reviewing frequently tested topics and areas of exam questions. Sample exams will be provided with this course. Ronald A. Long, Esq. GED® Test Preparation – FREE

Free GED® Test Preparation Classes are available at Bucks County Community College’s Lower and Upper Bucks Campuses.  Classes cover the academic knowledge needed to pass the GED® test subjects.  Our comprehensive classes strengthen your  communication, information processing, problem solving, and critical thinking skills as well – necessary skills for success in the workplace and in life in general.  The General Education Development (GED®) credential, earned by passing the GED® tests, is nationally recognized by U.S. employers, colleges, and universities. Classes are free to Pennsylvania residents 18 years of age and older.  Funding is provided through the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Aviation

Private Pilot Ground School

Upon course completion, students will be equipped with the necessary knowledge to take the FAA’s written exam to become a Private Pilot.  Aircraft systems, aerodynamics, flight instruments, navigation, weather, flight planning, regulations, and airspace will all be covered.  Must be 15 years old prior to the start of the class.
