Definitions for Institutional and Personal Web Pages

Bucks County Community College supports both institutional and personal web pages. This permits the World Wide Web to serve as a resource for official College information, as well as a site for personal expression and the exchange of ideas.

An institutional page is defined as:

• Any web page that is linked to college's web site in any place other than the "personal pages" section. Such pages must follow the college's template for web pages and are held to the same standards and publishing criteria as other official college publications.

A personal page is defined as:

• Any page(s) created by staff and faculty that are linked to the personal pages section.
• Any page(s) created by BCCC authorized clubs and organizations.

An instructional page is defined as:

• A personal page which is used in the instruction of a course, either credit or noncredit. These pages must conform to ADA guidelines.

The views expressed on personal pages are not necessarily the views of the College and comments on these pages should be directed to the owner of the page. Page authors should provide contact information including e-mail address, mail address, and phone number.
