Mission and Strategic Goals

Mission Statement

...to advance the College as a community of excellence. In fulfilling this supportive role, the Foundation's objective is to approach the private sector of the Bucks County community to secure funds and other assistance that will be used to enhance ongoing activities and programs and initiate new programs and services not adequately funded through traditional sources.

Effective Communication

  • Effectively communicate the Foundation’s “Case for Support” to all audiences
  • Engage the institution’s alumni and reconnect them with BCCC’s mission and vision
  • Develop new ways of communications, e.g. social networking, to enhance outreach to existing and potential donors and to expand current donor base
  • Highlight the institution’s programs and graduates and their roles in supporting the priority needs of the Bucks County business community
  • Develop specific outreach to faculty, staff, students, and parents and communicate impact of their support

Foundation Board and Staff Development

  • Educate Board members to be knowledgeable about all fund- and friend-raising efforts and opportunities, and in ways to identify and cultivate potential donors
  • Continue to exercise strong recruitment for the Board of Directors, focusing on adding skilled and diverse leaders who identify with the mission of the College and its Foundation   
  • Integrate Board members with all other campus and community leaders
  • Invest in training and expertise of Foundation staff

Comprehensive Development Plan

  • Engage current students and create a tradition of giving among alumni
  • Support priority needs of the College through major gifts fundraising campaigns
  • Develop and market a comprehensive planned giving program
  • Utilize current technology infrastructure to its full potential
  • Prioritize potential donors and proactively approach them

Financial Stability

  • Establish an allocation plan which addresses the College's priority needs
  • Focus on those events and activities that provide the greatest financial return for the College
  • Ensure long-term growth by proactively monitoring investment returns, performance, and risks
