Dear Friend of Bucks County Community College:

Did you know? More than 40% of all graduating high school seniors nationwide start their college career at a community college. Currently, more than 12 million Americans are enrolled in community college. I was one of those students. 

When I came to this country in 1993, community college started me on the path toward a master’s degree. I’m proud of my choice. Community college was and remains affordable and convenient, and the learning environment was and is engaging, stimulating, and challenging. I also enjoyed the diverse student population, learning with and from students from all ethnicities and ages. When I made the decision to transfer to a four-year institution after my freshman year, I was well prepared for the transition and all of my credits transferred.  

My freshman year made a big impression on me, one that still impacts me today as I work for Bucks County Community College. In my role with the Foundation, I’m fortunate to have met many inspiring students over the past seven years. More importantly, with your support we have been able to provide scholarship assistance to more than a thousand students. I have seen tremendous changes over the years at Bucks. In these times of economic uncertainty and budget cuts, we rely on your support to carry forward this momentum.

I hope you'll see the value in lending your personal support. The monies raised during the Annual Fund drive will be used to support student scholarships. Last year, the Foundation provided nearly $200,000 in scholarships to students, many of whom might not otherwise have continued their education.
