Jeannine Chodoroff

Biography

My family and I live in the Central Bucks area, where my husband is employed as a middle school band director. I am a full time mom and a part time teacher who enjoys painting, cooking, gardening, and spending time at the shore with my family during the summer months.

My background is in elementary education. I taught for the Council Rock School District for five years prior to coming to Bucks County Community College, and during my time there I taught third, fourth, and sixth grade. I am a very creative person and I enjoy teaching my students how to come up with interesting and effective ways to teach their future students. In addition, I take great pride in preparing them for other aspects of the job that may not be covered in the text. Topics such as dealing with difficult students/parents, teacher burn-out, and cultivating professional relationships are also discussed during the course of the semester. I believe that teaching my students professionalism is just as important as teaching them how to be good teachers, and I try to cover a wide range of topics in order to do that.
