BiographyI possess a Masters Degree in Psychology from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. I have been employed in different treatment settings in a clinical capacity. The places where I have worked include: a school district, a correctional facility, two community hospitals, and the largest forensic psychiatric center in New York State. In addition, I have significant experience working both as an Inpatient and Outpatient Therapist in the area of substance and alcohol abuse or dependence. | |
Shared ResourcesI have a rather collaborative style of teaching. It is my opinion that education is a partnership and my goal is to help my students learn the material. I find that students learn more when they are having fun. Further, I try to share my experiences and opinions from my professional work to illuminate a student’s understanding of the course material. One of my key goals is to also make myself available to help any student with any questions they may have. Given my professional experience, I have some knowledge of drug and alcohol treatment. I also have knowledge of the mental health field from having worked in mental health and forensic psychiatry. |
